Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You will perform diagnostic mammography exams, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality imaging in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The position requires ARRT credentials in Radiography and Mammography, 1 year of radiologic and mammography experience, and strong patient communication. Join a supportive team within Wellstar's integrated health system in Georgia.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-M (Mammography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining a strong first-time acceptance rate before releasing patients.
• Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize dose and technique, and keep equipment clean and ready per infection control/FDA guidelines.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions, address questions, and support training of new team members.
