Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care. This part-time role offers a predictable schedule, with opportunities for growth within Wellstar’s integrated health system.

The candidate will perform mammography exams, verify patient information, and maintain imaging quality while adhering to safety and infection control standards. ARRT certification and hospital mammography experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience and 1 year in mammography.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, ensuring patient identity with two identifiers.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) and protect patient privacy and comfort.
• Review images for quality and accuracy, maintaining high first-time acceptance rate.
• Document procedures in PACS/RIS and complete daily charge capture.
• Maintain equipment, perform QC tests, and support cross-imaging area needs.
