Job summary

Solis Mammography in Tomball, TX, is seeking a qualified Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography procedures. The role requires a TX Medical Board license, ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, and completion of a two-year radiologic technology program.

This full-time position runs 7:00am–4:30pm with occasional Saturdays and on-site coverage at Tomball and nearby centers.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) is required.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with clinical documentation.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU: 15 CEUs every 3 years and 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography procedures with high accuracy.
• Maintain positioning and exposure technique with patient-first focus.
• Educate patients about mammography and preventative breast health.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients and staff.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Work Location:

20326 Tomball Pkwy, Suite 225 Houston, TX 77070. Provides coverage at Vintage Park and Tomball centers.

Work Hours:

(Full-Time) 7:00am- 4:30pm, including occasional Saturdays.

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
