Job summary

Solis Mammography in Pearland, TX seeks a Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic procedures with high accuracy. The role supports patient-focused care and education on preventive breast health.

Requirements include ARRT Radiography certification and MQSA or registry eligibility. Relocation assistance is available, with a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 for qualified technologists; full-time hours, Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm, plus two Saturday shifts monthly.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and ARRT Radiography certification.
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified; registry eligible.
• Current on all continuing education as required by MQSA and ARRT.
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred.
• Must possess non-restricted state licensure.
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS software is preferred.
• Two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Experience with ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Work Location

Work Hours

Full-Time Monday-Friday between 7:00am-5:00pm. (Two Saturday Shifts per Month Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
• ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or
• MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
• Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
• High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;
• Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;
• Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
• Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
• Prior quality control experience preferred;
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time;

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
