Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required, with 3+ years of medical office experience (radiology preferred).
• Experience managing physician schedules or facilitating physician workflow is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology subspecialties is required.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Radiologists, staff and various resources to maintain a consistent, efficient workflow with daily completion by end of day.
• Accurately schedules recall breast exams and mammography biopsies; enters information into the RIS and Outlook calendar with correct patient and clinical details.
• Ensures all necessary information is in the RIS for mammography exams, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies; reviews requisitions for proper study.
• Works with referring physician offices to obtain missing requisitions and verbal orders when needed and confirms correct clinical information.
• Adheres to all policies including Compliance, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing and accreditation guidelines.
