Job summary

Jefferson Radiology, part of Radiology Partners, seeks a scheduling specialist to coordinate patient appointments across CT/MRI facilities in the Greater Connecticut area. You’ll interact with clinicians and patients, ensuring timely, accurate scheduling and smooth operations.

Responsibilities include understanding site modalities, hours, and workflows; supporting billing processes and insurance verification; contributing to a team focused on safety, quality care, and friendly patient service.

Qualifications

• Experience with scheduling and/or medical billing application preferred.
• Excellent dictation, communication skills, and telephone manner.
• Good understanding of ICD coding preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and effective scheduling of patients for multiple offices and modalities
• Demonstrate an understanding of modalities offered at site location and hours of operations
• Modalities include Mammography, Bone Density, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine
• Direct patient and referring physician contact and accountable for always representing the practice in a pleasant and professional manner
