Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for our multifamily communities in Texas. This on-site role focuses on maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept living environments and prepping apartments for new residents.

You will work under the Lead Maintenance Technician, uphold safety standards, and contribute to resident satisfaction through proactive upkeep and timely make-ready tasks.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements and follow directions effectively.
• 40 hours per week, typically 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; schedule may vary.
• Scheduled on-call work may be necessary.
• Must wear a back-support belt and gloves as dictated by tasks for safety.
• Must wear appropriate footwear (non-flat-bottom shoes) as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete detailed checklists to assess make-ready needs.
• Assist with cleaning, trash-out, and removal of bulky items as needed.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to prepare apartments for new residents.
• Replace or repair lights, locks, faucets, appliances, doors, blinds, fans, windows, and shelving.
• Patch and paint walls, inspect tiles, change A/C filters, and operate carpet cleaning equipment.
• Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks; report needs to supervisor.
