Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for an on-site multifamily community. The role supports preparing apartments for new residents, maintaining a clean and safe living environment, and assisting with maintenance tasks under supervision.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety rules, participation in training, and collaboration with the Property Manager and maintenance team to ensure timely, market-ready units.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements of the position and be able to follow directions effectively.
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; occasional weekend needs may arise.
• Scheduled on-call work may be necessary.
• Must wear a back-support belt and gloves as dictated by tasks to ensure safety.
• Required to wear appropriate footwear (non-flat-bottom).

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: follow policies, inspect vacated units, assist with cleaning and trash-out, maintain grounds.
• Leadership & Training: complete Grace Hill training, pursue skill development, support safety training.
• Maintenance Coordination: perform general maintenance for making apartments ready, replace/repair fixtures, assist with painting and exterior tasks.
• Resident Relations: restore apartments to market-ready condition and maintain professional communication.
• Compliance & Reporting: document inspections and repairs, report needs to management, ensure safety standards.
