Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for multifamily communities. This on-site role supports preparing units for new residents through cleaning, repairs, and safety-compliant tasks.

Responsibilities include inspecting vacated apartments, coordinating with the Senior Maintenance Technician and Property Manager, and mentoring maintenance staff while upholding high standards of cleanliness and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks and follow directions safely.
• Availability for a typical 40-hour week, with potential on-call and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and determine make-ready needs; communicate services to the Senior Maintenance Technician and Property Manager.
• Assist with cleaning and trash-out of units, including removal of heavy or bulky items.
• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and deliver notices to residents as needed.
• Complete Grace Hill training courses by specified deadlines and participate in ongoing skill development.
• Support safety training efforts and adhere to safety practices at all times.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to prepare apartments for new residents, including replacing lights, locks, faucets, appliances, doors, blinds, fans, windows, shelving; patching and painting walls; changing A/C filters; operating carpet cleaning equipment.
• Assist with appliance repairs, replacements, and transfers to or from units; transport paint and equipment and assist with minor exterior maintenance.
• Restore apartments to “market ready” condition for move-in; provide a clean, functional living space for new residents.
• Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks; report supply and material needs to the Property Manager and/or Senior Maintenance Technician.
