Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is seeking an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for an on-site multifamily property. You will support the maintenance team, prepare apartments for new residents, and ensure a clean, safe living environment under supervision.

The role includes training staff, completing Grace Hill courses, and adhering to safety practices. The position requires readiness for occasional on-call work and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; weekly schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: perform duties in compliance with policies and laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing). Inspect vacated apartments, communicate needs to Senior Maintenance Technician and Property Manager.
• Leadership & Training: complete Grace Hill training courses by deadlines; participate in ongoing skill development; support safety training.
• Maintenance Coordination: perform general maintenance to prepare apartments; replace/repair lights, locks, appliances, doors, etc.; assist with painting, HVAC filter changes, carpet cleaning.
• Resident Relations: restore apartments to market-ready condition; provide clean, functional living space for move-in; deliver notices professionally.
• Compliance & Reporting: document inspections/repairs; report supplies needs; ensure safety standards; complete tasks as assigned by management.
