Job summary

SunRidge Management Group is hiring an Assistant Maintenance / Make Ready Technician for an on-site multifamily community. You will assist with making ready units, coordinating maintenance tasks, and supporting a safe, clean living environment for residents. The role includes training junior staff and ensuring compliance with safety and housing standards.

The position is full-time, with a typical 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. schedule, and may require occasional weekend coverage and on-call work.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to follow directions
• Work schedule is typically 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; schedule may vary
• On-call work may be necessary
• Must wear a back-support belt and gloves as dictated by tasks to ensure safety
• Must wear appropriate footwear; non-slip footwear required

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete detailed checklists to assess make-ready needs and communicate required services
• Assist with cleaning and trash-out of units and removal of heavy items
• Maintain cleanliness of community grounds and deliver notices to residents as needed
• Perform general maintenance tasks to prepare apartments for new residents (lights, locks, appliances, doors, blinds, etc.)
• Patch and paint walls, change A/C filters, operate carpet cleaning equipment
• Assist with appliance repairs, replacements, and transfers to or from units
• Transport paint and equipment and assist with exterior maintenance
• Document inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks
• Respond to service requests from the maintenance team
• Ensure apartments are restored to market-ready condition for move-ins
