Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for turnover. You will perform repairs, ensure proper sealing, inspect and repair drywall, and carry out touch-up painting under supervision.

The role includes site maintenance, cost-conscious activity, and adherence to safety policies. It requires versatility to work indoors and outdoors, with some flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the community’s make-ready checklist.
• Ensures apartment homes have been properly caulked and sealed around windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspects all sheetrock for damage, and repairs and/or replaces as needed.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units as directed by Service Supervisor or Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Completes make-ready work to ensure timely turn of vacant units to market-ready condition.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
• Follows safety policies, attends safety meetings, and reports accidents promptly.
