Job summary

Asset Living in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Make Ready technician to support property maintenance, repair fixtures, paint, install appliances, and ensure units meet standards before new residents move in.

You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, perform preventative maintenance, assist with turn events, maintain safety, keep records, and provide excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills necessary for on-site software functions.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out maintenance processes including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic tasks.
• Ensure make-ready units meet property standards before new residents move in, including repairs and appliance installation.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and adhere to safety guidelines (OSHA).
• Maintain accurate records of service requests, preventative maintenance, and make-ready status.
• Support daily upkeep of common areas, offices, and model units and assist with inventory management.
