Broad Management Group LLC in Slidell, LA is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartment units for new residents and perform a range of upkeep tasks to keep the property in excellent condition.

You will inspect units, replace fixtures, handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting, conduct routine maintenance, and assist with safety and curb appeal. The role requires reliability, physical stamina, and on-call availability to meet property needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related field in multi-family setting.
• Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use hand/power tools.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
• On-call availability for emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacant units and determine required repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair fixtures, appliances, and hardware as needed.
• Ensure units meet quality standards before leasing to residents.
• Perform routine maintenance: change bulbs, fix leaks, unclog drains.
• Safety: follow PPE protocols and report hazards.
• Maintain curb appeal: pressure wash, paint, landscape; keep common areas safe and clean.
• Interact with residents professionally and address maintenance requests promptly.
