Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Make Ready technician to support maintenance operations at our properties. You will handle routine and cosmetic tasks, repairs, and make-ready preparations to ensure units meet standards before new residents move in.

This entry level role emphasizes safety, timely service, and property upkeep. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills, plus knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out maintenance processes including corrective, preventive, routine and cosmetic maintenance.
• Ensure make-ready units meet property standards before new residents move in; repair or replace fixtures, paint, install appliances, check plumbing/electrical.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly for common areas, buildings and units.
• Assist with scheduling and performance of all maintenance/repair-related turn events.
• Assist in daily exterior upkeep of the community, including grounds, buildings, breezeways and common areas.
• Perform swimming pool maintenance and maintain chemical logs.
• Inspect grounds and buildings daily to minimize hazards and liabilities.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend community life and minimize future repairs.
• Follow Asset Living policies and maintain a stocked maintenance shop safely.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in hazard communications and promote safe practices.
• Participate in unit inspections and assist with inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain records of service requests, maintenance and status.
