Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons in Peoria, IL is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team and help provide a positive resident experience.

You will restore vacant homes to market-ready condition, perform turns including drywall, painting, and minor repairs, and assist with snow removal. Candidates with building maintenance experience and HVAC knowledge are preferred; own tools and a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance preferred, including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC.
• HVAC certification or experience preferred.
• Own tools required.
• Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills; comfortable learning software, apps, and programs.
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant-turn process to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows; carpentry and ceramic tile installation.
• Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assist with snow and ice removal, as required.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
