Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is looking for a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join the on-site team at Montgomery Place Apartments in Montgomery, IL. The role focuses on restoring vacant homes to market-ready condition and supporting timely move-ins.

Preferred candidates have HVAC experience or certification and possess their own tools. Strong communication, basic computer skills, and a professional appearance are required. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

Experience in building maintenance preferred but training available.
HVAC certification or experience preferred.
Possess own tools.
Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy.
Able to effectively communicate with residents and co-workers.
Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
Complete full vacant turn process to meet move-in deadlines (drywall, painting, caulking, grouting).
Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows; carpentry and ceramic tile work.
Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
Assist with snow and ice removal, as required.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
