Job summary

Maryland Science Center in Baltimore is seeking an Assistant Director of Development for Major Gifts & Stewardship to lead fundraising from individual donors and foundations, focusing on major gifts to support annual campaigns and multi-year initiatives.

In this full-time role, you will supervise the Annual Appeal Manager and guide donor engagement, prepare funder briefs and impact reports, and work with senior leadership to strategize and steward relationships, records, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; 5+ years fundraising experience with authority.
• Experience in donor management, portfolio development and stewardship.
• Experience supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage major/legacy/foundation funders aligned with the Center's mission.
• Support senior leadership with funder briefings, talking points, and stewardship materials.
• Develop fundraising processes for donor engagements and pipelines and ensure accountability.
• Maintain CRM records and coordinate donor events and reports.
