Job summary

Saint Mary’s Community Services is seeking a Development Director to design and drive a comprehensive fundraising program. You will lead major gifts, institutional grants, and corporate partnerships, while collaborating with the CEO, Board, and leadership to ensure diversified revenue growth aligned with strategic priorities.

You will oversee development operations, budget management, and a high-performing team, reporting on fundraising performance and trends to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive fundraising experience, including leadership roles
• Proven ability to secure major gifts and manage diverse revenue streams
• Experience working in a nonprofit with a $10M+ budget preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals
• Lead major gifts, donor relations, and pipeline development with a focus on high-net-worth donors
• Oversee grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising initiatives
• Cultivate corporate sponsors, volunteers, and cause marketing opportunities
• Plan and oversee fundraising events, capital or endowment campaigns as needed
• Engage the Board to strengthen fundraising capacity and donor participation
• Manage development operations, CRM systems, reporting, and budget oversight
• Hire and develop a high-performing development team
