Job summary

Maryland Hall in Annapolis seeks a Director of Development to drive fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and multi-channel campaigns supporting the arts and education mission.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead a small team, build major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundations, and special events while collaborating with the Marketing team to create compelling materials and stewardship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant fundraising experience in non-profit or arts sector.
• 3+ years of managing a small team.
• 2+ years using a donor management system to track data and trends.
• Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals.
• Experience leading fundraising strategies and best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative team player.
• Integrity and commitment to the mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to meet fundraising goals.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, sponsors, foundations, and partners.
• Oversee annual and special appeals and donor acknowledgments.
• Lead planning and execution of fundraising events, including Arts Alive gala.
• Oversee donor databases and reporting.
• Manage the Development Team's budget.
