Job summary

Maryland Public Television (MPT) in Owings Mills, MD, seeks a Managing Director of Major Gifts to lead fundraising and personally generate $2,000,000+ in membership revenue, securing transformational gifts that advance MPT’s priorities.

The role manages a donor portfolio, partners with the President & CEO, and guides the Major & Planned Giving team to grow the principal-gift pipeline while ensuring timely donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in non-profit development or fundraising.
• Proven track record of soliciting and closing major gifts of five figures.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in development.
• Experience with donor CRM and prospect management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of ~50 donors and prospects; identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward six-figure+ gifts.
• Develop donor-centered funding opportunities, proposals and gift agreements with partners.
• Serve as philanthropy strategist and liaison for the President & CEO and senior leaders.
• Liaise with MPT Foundation board committees and assist in board recruitment.
• Lead Major & Planned Giving team; strengthen the principal-gift pipeline and maintain donor records.
