Job summary

Thrive Behavioral Health is looking for a Maintenance Worker in Warwick, RI to handle building and grounds upkeep on a full-time, first-shift basis. The role involves routine maintenance, minor renovations, and coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep facilities safe and functional.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent, about three years of related experience, and basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and HVAC systems.

MAINTENANCE WORKER

General Summary

Perform tasks associated with the maintenance of Thrive’s buildings and grounds.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, First Shift

Location

Warwick, RI

Salary

Starts at $20/hr, depending on experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, structural renovations, and janitorial tasks
• Relocate furniture and equipment
• Perform routine landscaping tasks
• Assist in conducting fire and safety drills
• Provide back-up to the Sr. Maintenance Worker
• Provide back-up on call coverage for emergencies
• Review e-mail account daily for new messages.
• Works with CAT 6
• Works well with computers
• Snow plow removal
• Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience performing tasks outlined above.
• Basic knowledge and skill level in carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and HVAC systems which will allow for the identification and correction of problems which do not require the use of outside vendors.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and under the pressure of constant deadlines. Basic computer literacy preferred.

Certifications, Licenses Requirements

• Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
