Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support building and grounds upkeep in our Elkhart community. You will perform semi-skilled tasks, assist with repairs, and help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate with a team. Prior maintenance experience and a HS diploma are desirable; weekend/holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks.
• Must understand and follow safety procedures.
• Experience in building maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and equipment used in maintenance.
• Order materials and supplies as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Perform repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed.
• Disassemble, move and arrange furniture as needed.
• Review maintenance logs and work orders for timely responses.
• Complete maintenance work orders promptly and report delays or concerns.
