Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks across building, grounds, and equipment in our community. You will follow the Maintenance Director's directions, ensure safety, and support daily operations within our senior living environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years in maintenance, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience in maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Detail oriented, with strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in maintenance and building trades.
• Order materials as directed; place and receive phone calls.
• Make repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed.
• Disassemble and move furniture throughout the community.
• Check maintenance logs and respond promptly to requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Prepare and paint surfaces in the community.
• Maintain exterior grounds and assist with landscaping and trash removal.
• Perform basic electrical tasks, including changing light bulbs.
• Transport residents safely in community vehicle to appointments.
• Assist with maintenance scheduling and resident safety drills.
• All other duties as assigned.
