Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled maintenance of the building, grounds, equipment, and appliances under the direction of the Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities include operating tools, ordering materials, performing repairs, moving furniture, maintaining logs, painting surfaces, grounds upkeep, basic electrical work, and assisting with resident safety drills and vehicle transport.

Qualifications

• Two years previous experience in a maintenance position.
• Must be knowledgeable regarding practices and materials used in building maintenance.
• Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tools and machines used in maintenance and building trades.
• Order materials as directed and manage calls.
• Make repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed.
