Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Maintenance Manager with general operating maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant. You will help ensure safe, clean, and comfortable operations for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, performing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs, and exterior tasks such as irrigation and pool upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate with residents and their families.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Follow directions to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Perform exterior tasks including irrigation, vegetation requirements, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing.
