Avenue5 Residential in Tustin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a range of apartment and property maintenance tasks under supervision, while delivering high-quality customer service and curb appeal.

The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting and grounds work, with on-call emergencies and strict safety standards. A valid driver’s license and at least one year in property maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, window/door repair.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including painting, lighting, sprinkler, and elevator systems.
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to residents’ satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and after-hours calls.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
• Observe safety and risk management per company policies.
• Promote customer satisfaction and professional interactions with residents.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform policy.
• Adhere to all aspects of the risk management program.
