Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure building and site facilities meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. The role covers routine maintenance, make-ready tasks for vacants, and on-site grounds care.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, inspecting systems, coordinating vendor work, and documenting tasks. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license; on-site schedule with on-call rotation and potential travel to other properties.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant certifications are required.
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdictions.
• A valid driver's license is required to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs according to policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation so service requests are documented and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and basic upkeep.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Education
