Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of the property at our Chula Vista, CA community. Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, and inspecting equipment to ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have 1-2 years of maintenance experience, HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, drywall/painting, and strong time management.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience required.
• HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, drywall/painting, and safety procedures are required.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• HappyCo and Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs according to safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and punch lists.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning items and flagging re-order needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
