Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician to maintain buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and keep documentation up to date.

Responsibilities include make-ready inspections, inventory handling, and coordinating with vendors while supporting cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible; on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and/or Type II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• State and local certifications as required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf carts on property.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs on property equipment following safety standards.
• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance per procedures and code requirements.
• Perform make-ready tasks and prep vacant units for leasing with punch lists.
• Track inventory, request materials, and coordinate with maintenance staff.
• Document service requests timely and accurately for record-keeping.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with painting and cleaning as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing them when feasible.
• Attend safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal policies.
• Inspect contractor work to verify quality and alignment with scope.
• Participate in routine property inspections and communicate needs to management.
