Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair building systems and appliances at our California properties. The role includes diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and ensuring safety and quality in common areas and units.

You will perform preventative maintenance, manage make-ready tasks for vacant units, document work, and assist with grounds upkeep. On-call availability and a flexible schedule are required; EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license are

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification.
Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.
Must have experience repairing and troubleshooting household appliances.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair defects on service requests and perform preventative maintenance.
Make-ready vacant apartment homes: pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and completing tasks.
Track inventory and coordinate re-ordering with maintenance supervisor.
Document and track service requests accurately.
Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with cleaning and painting as needed.
Support cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when possible.
