Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet standards for safety, cleanliness, and function. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and perform repairs in accordance with policy, with emphasis on quality and timely service.

The role includes make-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and on-site tasks with rotating on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1/II or Universal required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance with diagnosis and repairs.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant units including inspections and scheduling.
• Track inventory and return unused items; notify supervisor for reorders.
• Complete documentation for service requests and ensure accurate records.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assist in cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts where possible.
• Assist in periodic property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate with management.
