Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves making-ready vacant units, maintaining systems, and supporting cost-control by using parts wisely.

You will work at a Greystar-managed community in Elk Grove with a housing discount and be part of a team focused on resident satisfaction and property excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years maintenance experience.
• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1/II or Universal.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance per safety standards and code requirements.
• Sees the make-ready process through for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch list creation, scheduling, and final checks.
• Tracks materials, supplies, and tools; returns unused items and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork for service requests to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and assisting in upkeep of pool areas.
