Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of building and equipment upkeep tasks in our community. You will complete work orders in a CMMS, repair or install equipment, and assist residents with maintenance needs, while following safety and infection control procedures.

The role includes equipment upkeep, snow removal, tool use, potential Life Safety inspections, and on-call duties. A high school diploma and CMMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school preferable.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must possess knowledge of maintenance operations, hand and power tools and mechanical ability.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
• Experience with The WorxHUB CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders as assigned, through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), to repair or install equipment and machinery or assist residents and/or customers with general maintenance needs.
• Conducts equipment maintenance, testing, lubricating, and cleaning machinery and reporting any equipment malfunctions, repairs or replaces defective items and maintains operational logs.
• Assists in maintaining the appearance of the main buildings, outside buildings and grounds, including snow removal and salting.
• Utilizes hand and power tools, following all necessary safety procedures.
• May be responsible for conducting inspections and drills (“Life Safety”) including but not limited to sprinkler inspections, fire drills, electrical inspections, bed inspections etc.
• Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, trash/waste storage and disposal and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and chemical agents.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment اnd accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Required to remain on-call, when assigned; Performs on-call duties as scheduled
