Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in San Jose to maintain building systems and common areas. The role requires plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair experience plus basic computer skills; housing discounts are available for onsite staff.

You’ll handle resident work orders, make‑ready tasks for leases, track materials, and document work while supporting grounds upkeep and cost controls. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, and appliance repair.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments and manages punch lists.
• Tracks inventory, coordinates materials, and notifies maintenance supervisor as needed.
• Documents service requests accurately and timely for records.
• Maintains grounds and common areas and assists in cost‑control efforts.
