Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Redwood City to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role includes completing work orders, making-ready tasks, and maintaining inventory, with on-site scheduling and on-call requirements. Eligible for a housing discount and incentive-based bonuses, with EPA refrigerant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 Years Housing Discount eligibility.
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (required).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Tracks inventory, sourcing materials, and notifies supervisor for re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork promptly to document service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and supporting cost-control measures.
