Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community grounds safe, organized, and well-maintained, ensuring timely handling of service requests and inspections. You will help with new home delivery/set-up and reporting warranty work, while upholding safety standards and OSHA PPE requirements.

The role requires reading meters, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in home refurbishment or make-ready preferred.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Pool Operation experience are a PLUS.
• OSHA certifications or completed trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software and tablets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work-orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep grounds, common areas, and lots clean and debris-free.
• Complete all work promptly while meeting safety standards.
• Respond to after-hours calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and resolve issues as applicable.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with new home delivery/set-up and report warranty work.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in team/safety meetings.
• Uphold OSHA standards and PPE usage as required.
• Winter road condition maintenance including snow removal and de-icing when applicable.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles per safety standards.
• Communicate with team, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Other duties as assigned.
