Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep grounds safe, organized, and stocked. You will interact with residents, handle service requests, and assist with new home delivery and setup while reporting issues to management.

You will follow safety standards, read meters, and participate in safety meetings. The role requires teamwork, reliability for on-call shifts, and the ability to operate and maintain vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous home refurbishment or make-ready experience preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operation experience are a plus.
• OSHA certifications or trainings are a plus.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software and electronic devices/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work orders, and home refurbishments.
• Keep the community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and debris-free.
• Complete all work timely while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Respond to after-hour emergency calls per on-call schedule.
• Read water meters, identify and resolve leaks within the community.
• Organize maintenance facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in new home delivery and setup; report warranty work to management.
• Deliver resident notices as requested by management.
• Participate in safety meetings and team activities.
• Uphold OSHA standards and PPE requirements.
• Maintain safe winter conditions through snow removal and de-icing.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles safely.
• Communicate with team, vendors, and residents.
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
