Job summary

The Cardinal Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to protect, maintain, and enhance our community in Ithaca, NY. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on timely resolution of resident maintenance issues and upkeep of facilities and grounds.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to work orders (including after-hours on-call), and ensure safety standards for HVAC, pool areas, and general equipment. Weekend availability and ability to lift 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Lift a minimum of 75 lbs and stand 8-12 hours.
• Weekend work and on-call emergencies.
• Able to embody Cardinal Culture and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Safe operation, maintenance and repair of all facility equipment with OSHA compliance.
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner, including after hours on-call shifts.
• Assists with inspection of public areas and resident apartments for quality maintenance.
• Following air conditioning/refrigeration record-keeping requirements.
• Adheres to pool and spa water chemistry and sanitation procedures.
• Keeps storage areas, tools, and equipment secure.
• Participates in Cardinal U training as required.
