Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure physical buildings meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role covers making repairs, completing make-ready tasks, and assisting with grounds and common areas on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues from resident requests, inventory control, and documentation. The position requires EPA certifications and a valid driver's license for on-site operations and occasional travel within properties.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications required for technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf carts as needed.
• All state/local certifications must be current and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from resident service requests and perform repairs per safety policies.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling.
• Track materials, inventory, and re-order supplies as needed with the maintenance team.
• Document work orders accurately for proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, assist in cleaning and minor painting.
• Help reduce costs by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.

Education

EPA Type 1 & 2 or Universal refrigerant certification
