Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis. The role ensures buildings meet safety and quality standards, performs preventive maintenance, and handles make-ready tasks for vacant units.

You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and maintain grounds and common areas while following safety policies. The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certification (applies to Certified Service Technicians)
• valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure building and common areas meet safety and quality standards.
• Executes make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and scheduling vendors.
• Maintains inventory and documents usage; notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Performs general cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and grounds upkeep as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
