Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will address resident requests, perform preventive maintenance, manage make-ready tasks for vacant units, and assist with inventory and vendor coordination.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), a valid driver’s license, and compliance with site safety policies.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• All required state and local jurisdiction certifications.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventive maintenance per policy.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant units, inspect, schedule vendors/contractors, and prep units for leasing.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify the supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible instead of replacements.
