Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making repairs, preparing units for new residents, documenting tasks, and assisting in grounds maintenance. A high school diploma and 2 years of maintenance experience are required, with HVAC and EPA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins; perform pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Track materials, equipment, and tools; reorder as needed.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and minor repairs.
• Support cost-cutting by using parts efficiently and correctly using tools.
