Job summary

UniFirst Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to join our Maintenance Department. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

The role includes a Monday–Friday week with periodic night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training. You will work with PLCs, read blueprints, follow manuals, and perform safety-critical checks to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• A two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Must be at least 18.
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics is required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience repairing industrial equipment.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision instruments.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specifications.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as required.
• Inspect shafts, belts, bearings and gears and lubricate components.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
