Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team in a standard Monday - Friday work week with occasional night and weekend overtime. You will repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems and components, following blueprints and specifications and using CMMS tools.

This role requires at least 1 year in industrial maintenance, reading blueprints, and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Minimum of 1 year of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
Able to read blueprints and schematics in English.
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
Lockout/Tagout experience required.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing.
Assist maintenance personnel with repairs, emergencies, and non-emergencies.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment systems and adjust chemicals as needed.
Perform safety checks on boilers and repairs as required.
Inspect and lubricate moving parts and replace worn components.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Use CMMS for maintenance records and work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
