Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

We have a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime and on the job training. What you’ll be doing includes troubleshooting PLCs, reading blueprints, following manuals, performing safety checks, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must read blueprints and schematics in English.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Minimum 1 year repairing industrial processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing.
• Assist maintenance staff with repairs (emergency and non-emergency).
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specs.
• Test boiler chemicals and wastewater pre-treatment; adjust as needed.
• Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
• Inspect and lubricate mechanical components; replace belts/filters as needed.
• Operate and document work in a CMMS.
