Job summary

UniFirst Corp. is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our maintenance department. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial equipment, PLCs, and control systems while following blueprints and specs.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime. We offer on-the-job training and opportunities for growth in a large, global garment services company.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; a technical degree is preferred.
• Reading blueprints and schematics is required.
• Must be 18 years or older with maintenance experience.
• Experience with industrial equipment maintenance or repair.
• Ability to pass a maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Proficient with basic computer skills and MS Office.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is required.
• Willing to work overtime and lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precise tools.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Repair PLCs and control systems in coordination with tech staff.
• Follow blueprints, manuals, and engineering specs for repairs.
• Test boiler chemicals and wastewater systems; log results and adjust as needed.
• Perform daily and weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters and lubricate parts.
• Perform basic welding for repairs; operate and maintain CMMS records.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by leadership.
