Job summary

UniFirst Corp. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech II to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, repair, install and service industrial equipment, read blueprints, and follow safety and maintenance procedures.

We provide on-the-job training, a standard Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime, and opportunities for career growth within a large garment services company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must read blueprints and schematics.
• Minimum 1 year of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Ability to read maintenance literature in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot sources of equipment problems through observation and testing tools.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate machinery parts.
• Perform basic welding as needed.
• Operate a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
