Weidner Apartment Homes in Sandy, UT is seeking a Service Technician 2 to perform maintenance in vacant and occupied apartments, including painting, drywall repairs and appliance/system maintenance. You will manage time effectively, be detail oriented, and provide excellent customer service to residents and vendors.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience required.
• 3-5 years of painting and drywall repairs required.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms, climb ladders and stairs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• HVAC, CPO, EPA certification desired or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, trash removal, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Independently perform system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform detailed carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting.
• Identify and apply correct paint sheen and color; determine full-paint vs touch-up needs.
• Independently repair plank, vinyl and carpet flooring.
• Complete service requests from residents daily and timely.
• Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain logs and monitor chemical balance for pools when applicable.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• Participate in property improvements and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Must use company apps and have access to a personal vehicle for travel between properties.
