Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Minneapolis is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments and provide timely maintenance to residents and the community. You will work in both vacant and occupied units, performing painting, drywall repairs, electrical, plumbing, and appliance service.

The role requires independent work, strong time management, and excellent customer service when interacting with residents, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms; capable of climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy with painting, drywall repair, trash-out, and basic mechanical/plumbing/electrical tasks.
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, and carpentry.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine grounds and pool maintenance as assigned.
• Respond to resident service requests daily with attention to safety and quality.
